Winner of the Pulitzer Prize as well as Tony Award for best paly, Tony Kushner'a Angels in America: Millennium Approaches is set in New York City during the height of the AIDS crisis. The central characters struggle with their religious, sexual, and social identites while navigating frought relalationships with family members and significant others. Different strands of the plot mirror, intertwine, and illuminate eachother in filmic progression interlaced with appearances of ghosts, anfels, and reveations in dreams.
